Had an opportunity to dine in the restaurant/bar at the world golf village renaissance St Augustine and while working with a colleague got to see Kelly do a wonderful job of serving multiple tables. Her positive attitude, energy and spirit was fantastic. She took an initial mediocre impression of the property to the next level! Thanks Kelly and keep up the great work.
Really quiet surrounding area, there's a promenade that circles a lake where there are shops. It's a short drive to most any store you could imagine needing. The hotel is nice, I just had a hiccup with the housekeeping/front desk communication, asking for another set of towels took three calls/texts and almost the entire day. I finally had to walk to the desk to get them sent up.
Really loved staying here. Quiet, beautiful and secluded property with a gorgeous drive through tree canopies to get there. The hotel is dated but about to be renovated however I would still stay before renovations as it was clean, beds, comforters and pillows were amazing. Plus there is a bar downstairs and a gift shop with Starbucks in it. Very convenient!!!
From the moment I pulled into the hotel the service was impeccable; a lovely young man opened the door to the main lobby for my dog and I. The staff at check in are wonderful; professional, kind and want to ensure you have the best experience possible. I highly recommend this hotel, wonderful service and staff. If you have a dog, your dog will also be very happy! Thank you for a wonderful stay and experience.
We stayed here 2 nights. The room was clean and the staff was very nice. We like that they decorated for Christmas and had a lot of phone options. The breakfast buffet was good and the staff was nice overall good service. The restaurant was nice and the food was good. The location was good, not too far from downtown St Ausustine. The only issue/con would be the mattress. The bed was not comfortable at all. The worst mattress I have slept on in a long time. I did not expect the mattress to be so bad for the cost of the room.
Its an ok hotel. The beds are not comfortable, think a box spring with an inch of foam. The rooms are fine but the one we stayed in was very outdated. Shampoo was empty when we got our room and the toilet paper was clearly not replaced from the last guest. The service was great, they responded quickly with no complaints. The location was amazing. It was a little secluded while being fairly close to Costco and Bucee's and only around 15-20 minutes from St Augustine. We payed a fairly reasonable price for our room which made it worth it but if it was more expensive it would not have been worth it.
I recently stayed at the World Golf Village Renaissance, and it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. A special shoutout to Jim, the breakfast manager, who made the mornings extra special. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wonderful variety of delicious options, and everything was top-notch. The service was exceptional, making the entire stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!
We have been frequent visitors to the Renaissance Hotel coffee shop for the last 4 years. We wanted to tell you how impressed we are with your employees. They are so personable from Chef Tony (great breakfasts), Chris (the best doorman ever), O'Neill, Jody, Richard, Brandon, Jay, Madalynn and the coffee shop employees Lauren, Andrew, Whitney, Maria and Nikki. They are always so welcoming and eager to please. Just recently, and one other time, the coffee machine did not work. As before with Lauren and most recently with Andrew and Whitney, this did not stop their service. They were eager to serve us and went out of their way to suggest a coffee that would make our day. Every encounter with these amazing people is a positive one. Just wanted you to know how we value such people and their service! As an elderly couple we always appreciate the smiles and warm greetings. What a blessing! Thank You, Ken and Diane
